I. Correction:
Boy: Who’s he?
Mother: I don’t know. He’s somebody new.
Boy: What’s he doing?
Mother: He’s going to the mogyoktang (the public bath).
Boy: Why is he going there?
Mother: He must be going to relax, or to take a shower (OR: have a shower).
II. Today's Conversation
Mrs. Lee: Today I helped somebody who couldn’t speak Korean. He had wanted to buy something. I helped him (to) do that.
Charles: That’s very nice!
II. Everyday English
Mary: Going to class is hard in the morning!
Nancy: Yeah. Let’s go early (ER-LEE) so we can hang out in the hallway with the boys.
Mary: Where is Sally these days?
Nancy: I don’t know. I think she is doing a lot of work in the library.
Mary: I saw Sam the other day. He was reading notices on the bulletin board in the afternoon, after lunch..
Nancy: He likes talking with friends, so he goes to the bulletin board to meet them before class.
Mary: The football guys were teasing him though. They were not being silly. They were unkind to him!
Nancy: Oh! The teacher wanted us to write out the questions (KWES-tions), not just the answers. I hate writing out the questions! Did you do it?
Mary! I only wrote out the answers! I had to go to the volunteer club at night, so I had no time!
